Intrusive explanations of diving techniques frequently stall the plot of "Dive Right In", the story of former gymnast Traci who begins taking diving lessons. In "Goalkeeper", shy Tina is asked to be her team's goalkeeper, but isn't sure she wants to be in the spotlight. Written in the hackneyed style typical of this series, the books will nonetheless please readers who seek stories about young female athletes. [Review covers these Matt Christopher titles: "Dive Right In" and "Goalkeeper in Charge". ]
